1. A CONCEPT FOR THE FUTURE OF INNOVATION: LEARNING FROM OTHER INDUSTRIES

The capability to innovate and to bring innovation successfully to market will be a crucial determinant of the competitiveness of airports over the coming decade. Over the past few years, many airports tended to equate innovation to technology. However, innovation can occur in many avenues such as service models, customer satisfaction, processes and business models. Airports can no longer afford to rely on their own in-house mentality, but need to learn from other industries to add further value to their market offering. In this session, we will look at how airports can learn from other industries to create, develop new ideas and reinvent themselves.
